This is really the best available introduction to algorithms for the serious programmer. It's not an easy text, however.

Excellent Python book for experienced programmers who want to learn Python programming language.
- Bruce Eckel - Thinking in Java 3rd Edition (HTML+Source Code)
The very best Java programming book so far, excellent also to understand the basics of Object Oriented Programming.

For the optimizers among us. The perfect guide to discover the ins and outs of the optimizing art in C++.
